  • 2012-2014/ 2018-2019 Michigan State University, Master of Arts in Education & Technology (MAET)

    • [This document is for the final course of this degree] I currently hold a 3.72 GPA in the MAET program. The focus of this program was the philosophy, integration, and use of technology in all manners of educational settings.

  • 2007-2011 Michigan State University, Bachelor of Arts in History, with Minor in Political Science

    • I graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.538, having achieved Dean's List 5 of 8 Semesters. The degree included classes in 21st Century Military History, the Early Middle Ages, the Legacies of Mass Violence, Labor in the Gilded Age, Politics of the USSR and Its Successor States, and American Constitutional Law.

    • Working towards a secondary education teaching certificate entailed student teaching for 7.5 months at Kenwood Academy in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago's South Side during the 2011-12 school year, following my undergraduate degree.

Work

  • 2017- Present Helena High School

    • I currently teach American Government to High School Seniors, a graduation requirement in the state of Montana, in a course that covers everything from the history of political thought, to Constitutional Law, to a weeks-long simulated Congress involving multiple classes.

    • I currently also serve as an assistant Volleyball coach and a Co-Sponsor of the National Honor Society.

  • 2015-2017 Highland Middle School

    • Paraprofessional- my job officially saw me working with 8th graders with various learning and behavioral difficulties (tutoring, keeping them on task, modifying work etc.), but could often also involve co-teaching Social Studies or English classes, or working with groups of students.

  • 2013-2015 Illinois School District 214

    • Substitute Teacher- though my role encompassed teaching all around the district, I largely functioned as the department substitute (including multiple long-term assignments) for the John Hersey High School Social Studies/ Foreign Language department. I was regularly called on to teach specific lessons and ensure that classes, especially AP classes (World, US, European, Government), did not fall behind in the curriculum in their teachers' absences.

    • Varsity Scholastic Bowl Co-Coach from 2013- 2016.
